La serpiente del desierto de sal (The salt desert snake)

La serpiente Atni habita algunos desiertos de sal. Posee lengua trífida  de cuyo extremo nacen  tres cabezas de lenguas trífidas de cuyos extremos nacen  a su vez tres cabezas de lenguas trífidas... y así hasta llegar al océano. En contacto con el agua se convierte en sal y se disuelve.

The Atni snake lives in some salt deserts. It has a trifid tongue which ends on three trifid tongue heads where three trifid tongue heads grow as well... ans so on, until it reaches the ocean. When it touches the water it turns into salt and  gets dissolved

Pensando en el sur (Thinking south)

Lechuzas (Owls)

Cuatro lechuzas venían por las noches y se paraban sobre el castaño. Por como sonaban sus chistidos tres de ellas eran pichones. Fueron la inspiración para pintar esta imagen.


There were four owls coming every night and staying in the chestnut tree. I assumed three of them were young ones by the noise they made. They inspired this image.

Gato y libélulas (Cat and dragonflies)

El gato atrapa libélulas
¿y ahora
quién anunciará la tormenta?
El gato atrapa tormentas
y va cambiando de color.

La imagen y el poema surgieron de observar la fascinación de los gatos por estos insectos.
Cuando mi gata atrapa una  libélula la toma con cuidado y me la deja al lado de los pies, como una pequeña ofrenda.

(The dragonfly catcher cat/ So now who will announce the storm?/ The storm catcher cat/  he goes on changing colors.

This image and the poem came out from looking at cat´s fascination for this insects. When my cat catches a dragonfly she grabs it carefully and leaves it next to my feet, as an offering)

El encuentro (the meeting)

Encontré una anguila en el estanque. Apareció de un día para otro y nadie supo cómo llego ahí.  Se la veía bien en su nueva casa acuática. Pero pensé que podría sentirse un poco sola y que sería bueno para ella que apareciera otra anguila. Todavía no sucedió. Pero de esa idea surgió esta imagen.

(I found an eel in the pond. It suddenly appeared and nobody knew how it got there. It looked fine at  its new water house. But I thought that it could be feeling lonely and I wished another eel would appear. It didn´t happen yet. But it inspired me to paint this image).
